Years ago…oh, too long ago to count…I owned a small gift store: among other things I sold hand-crafted jewelry. One of my vendors invited me to a bead show…I bought some things…I didn’t know what I would do with them, I just liked them. They sat in a box in a closet for years. Then, I met a friend who showed me how to tie off a necklace with a clasp and crimp. I really intended to just finish the beads I had into wearable necklaces…but something happened. I started going to bead shows and acquiring beads…plastic bead boxes began filling up and then a new shelf unit appeared and began filling up with boxes. I began to play with beads. Recently, I realized I had made far too many necklaces to ever wear them all. So, I decided to set up a website and here it is: www.theeccentricbeader.com.
